Mi Go

This is a scan I did of a quite old paper illustration I did of the Mi Go, as per an old scan that's still on the wikipedia page https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mi-Go. The Mi Go is a specimen of a complex interstellar ecology that originally evolved on a cold high pressure planet similar to Titan, but in the orbit of Mars. Mi Go have been dwelling as an interstellar species, have a highly edited (genetically manipulated) bodythat integrates major "cybernetic" modifications. Mi Go have scattered throughout the milky way galaxy and are by and large not a particularly malevolent as the usual Lovecraftian species, but no nice guys either. Mi Go have visited Earth casually for at least several ten thousand years, and regard earth as a truly terrifying "interdiction zone", since Earth is the home of a particularly horrific and dangerous Old One. Thus earth and the solar system is a very special place in the Milky Way regarded for thousands of light year with a particular dread. Mi Go are indstrious, gregarious and quite intelligent. There are a number of them in the solar system at any time, where they prefer colonies on extreme cold somewhat larger moonlike bodies such as Triton, Sedna, Pluto or similar KBO's. They do visit the Earth and some of their scientists know a lot about human Earth culture. Mi Go are cautious on earth, since they really don't like all the vampires. Mi Go life is very different from terrestrial life, and generally not very compatible. Eating Mi Go meat is deadly as it contains benzenes and fluocarbon compounds, as well as mercury and assorted heavy metals. Mi Go are barely affected by high levels of radiation but dislike strong magnetic fields.

Mi Go have conducted several major extermination campains versus Byakhee near the solar system, and are currently at war with these interstellar pests.
